A plan was hatched to shoot the impressive Parachute dress with our gorgeous iconic Australian landscape.  A lot of planning on desensitising the horses in preparation for the dress took place months ahead of the photoshoot date.  It’s one thing to lay a scary object over a horse and ask them to be okay with it, but to ask them to canter or gallop with such a long and easily wind-swept dress was another expectation.  We had to ensure the horses would halt when asked no matter how the dress settled around their legs. They did exceptionally well given the circumstances and we were able to test the dress in different landscapes.

Our model was Brooke Verwey-Mitchell and she rode her drum stallion Rumneyhill Shokora (of Queensferry Park Drum horses) and my palomino partbred Gypsy Cob, Golden Lilly (of Pioneer Park Gypsy Cobs).

Brooke is one our Winners of the VIP Monthly Photoshoot Draw.

The dress was rented from Tatiana Coffman of Coffman Couture, U.S.

Collegiate Bridles were generously  donated by Horseland Narre Warren.
